The Department of Neurology at Duke University School of Medicine is recruiting a UCNS-certified or ABMS Board-certified or Board-eligible neurointensivist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for the Division of Neurocritical Care (NCC)

The Department of Neurology at Duke University School of Medicine is recruiting a UCNS-certified or ABMS Board-certified or Board-eligible neurointensivist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for the Division of Neurocritical Care (NCC).   The candidate should be fellowship-trained by an UCNS- or ACGME-accredited neurocritical care training program.  This successful hire will enjoy an active clinical practice with a well-established, large, but cohesive and collaborative critical care team, with the ability to advance their academic career in medical education, and/or clinical or translational research.  The Duke NCC faculty are nationally and globally well-known and seek to involve new members of the team who are also interested in these broader endeavors.

Faculty clinical call weeks are on a Monday-to-Monday schedule with night-time call from home and return to the hospital as needed. There is an advanced practice provider team on-site 24/7/365 with neurocritical care fellows and critical care fellows from other specialties rotating through the NeuroICU. Neurosurgery and neurology residents and their education are an important part of our team and mission.

Academic rank and salary will be determined based on individual qualifications.  Duke faculty also enjoy an exceptional Benefits package, including college tuition assistance for up to two children, plus an excellent retirement package.
