Thrive Alabama is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our collaborative team in providing acute and chronic primary healthcare services to patients living with HIV.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality comprehensive medical care to adolescents and adults, with occasional pediatrics patients
  • Managing general primary care, LGBTQI+ primary care, Hepatitis C, HIV, and STI testing and treatment
  • Documenting patient evaluations, diagnostic testing, and treatment plans in EMR
  • Collaborating with a team of providers to ensure evidence-based practice and knowledge exchange
  • Providing telemedicine services, minor procedures, and reviewing EKGs
  • Participating in on-call rotation and patient care team meetings
  • Leading quality improvement initiatives and educating staff, patients, and the community on health conditions

Requirements for this role include:

  • MD or DO with specialization in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Board certification by ABFM, AOBFM, ABIM, or AOBIM
  • DEA registration and Alabama Controlled Substances Certificate eligibility
  • BLS certification and eligibility for Collaborative Practice Agreements
