Opportunity Details

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Board-Certified Family Physician for a full-time position in the UAMS South Regional Program  in Magnolia, Arkansas. 
 
Requirements
  • Must have successfully graduated from an ACGME or OGME accredited Family Medicine Residency Program
  • Must be Board Certified in Family Medicine by the ABFM
  • Must have or be able to obtain an Arkansas medical license
  • Must be able to obtain a DEA license
 
UAMS South has the broad support of hospital-based and community-based physicians in South Arkansas and the main campus in Little Rock.  UAMS South’s sponsoring institution, Magnolia Regional Medical Center, is a 177-bed community-based tertiary medical center. Magnolia was founded in 1853 and got its name from the southern magnolia, or laurel, tree, a native of Arkansas. Magnolia is located between El Dorado and Texarkana and about 80 miles northeast of Shreveport, Louisiana. Also located in Magnolia is Southern Arkansas University Tech established on April 1, 1909, and opened their doors on January 3, 1911, as a residential secondary agricultural school for Southwest Arkansas after local citizens raised funds to match state funding to locate the institution in Magnolia. Magnolia is served by two regional airports, Texarkana Regional about 52 miles away, and Shreveport Regional about 90 miles away and the closest national airport is in Little Rock, Clinton National Airport which is about 140 miles away.
