The Department of Neurology and the Neurosciences Institute of the Albany Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologist with fellowship training in Neurointensive Care. Additional Board Certification in Vascular Neurology is not required but would be preferred. The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated vascular neurologists, neurointensivists, neurosurgeons, neurointensive care/stroke nurse practitioner, and a neuroendovascular team available 24/7. The practice will include participation in cerebrovascular clinics, research protocols, and coverage of an active inpatient service.
Albany Medical Center is one of the “Top 100” Stroke Hospitals in the U.S., is both TJC and New York State Department of Health certified stroke center and serves as a major referral center of upstate New York and surrounding states such as Vermont and western Massachusetts. In addition, we have a 14-bed state-of-the-art stroke unit and dedicated 15-bed Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit.
The salary range represents base salaries for an Assistant Professor’s appointment. They do not include the incentive bonus that is paid quarterly, which adds to the total compensation.
