Job Description

Vascular Surgeon The Dartmouth Health Heart and Vascular Center’s Section of Vascular Surgery is seeking a Vascular Surgeon. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) clinical position based at our primary tertiary care center in Lebanon, NH. We encourage all interested candidates should apply for review by our Search Committee, especially fellows and residents who will complete their training in June of 2025.  We also encourage applications from mid-career faculty members interested in joining an active, busy tertiary vascular practice with ACGME-certified fellowship and residency programs.  The Section coordinates regional vascular care for the Dartmouth Health system, and each faculty member contributes to the clinical mission at both the academic hub and several regional outreach sites. Candidates should be ready to share their plan for development or continuance of an academic career, detailing their plans for research, education, clinical trials, or other academic interests.  Opportunities for support for career development can be discussed and are encouraged. A robust clinical practice will be a part of a successful candidate’s plans within the group. The Section of Vascular Surgery at Dartmouth Health is a vibrant and supportive Section with 12 Surgeons and 6 Associate Providers, who see patients and perform procedures at seven sites across Northern New England. Highlights of the Section include:
  • Access to two dedicated fixed imaging units on-site, with active high-volume programs in endovascular treatment of the visceral aorta and the aortic arch, deep venous arterialization, and venous interventions.
  • More than 30 ongoing clinical trials, recruiting patients for advanced interventions, surgical treatments, and research studies.
  • Outreach opportunities across our region in Northern New England.
  • Existing internal and externally funded research as well as resident and fellow education.
  • An academic appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine will be requested, commensurate with experience.
